The Renegade Desert Hawk can automatically go between 2WD and 4WD as conditions demand. The 4WD Low mode adds a 20:1 crawl ratio for low-speed traction. Perfect for tackling off-road obstacles during your next expedition.

The "Jeep Active Drive Low" 4 wheel drive system equipped with a rear axle disconnection device enables a fluid and automatic shift from 2WD to 4WD without any driver intervention, to ensure permanent torque management and optimal traction whenever necessary.
2.0 MultiJet II 170 hp The 2.0 Multijet I70 HP AT9 4x4 Diesel Engine in combination with nine-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep® Active Drive Low system, ensures outstanding on-road traction and unmatched off-road capability.
HDC is only intended for low speed off-road driving. HDC maintains vehicle speed while descending hills in off-road driving conditions by applying the brakes when necessary. When enabled, HDC senses the terrain and activates when the vehicle is descending a hill. HDC speed may be adjusted by the driver to suit the driving conditions. The speed corresponds to the transmission gear selected.
